Night of the Living Deadlift

Eric,

Bellow is a mood board I created to walk you through the vision I have for the Night of the Living Deadlift (NLDL).

This page in not viewable to the public but can be shared via the URL if you want to share it with other to get outside opinions.

For the overall look of both the photos and video I feel like low key lighting would be best for NLDL and to represent the gym as a whole. Low key lighting just means the majority of the picture is dark and we are just highlighting what’s important. This typically produces a more dramatic moodier product. I have created a gallery of example images to give you an idea bellow.

Concept Video

For the video I was thinking something simple, fast-paced, and about a minute long. I included a video with a similar style I would aim for, but I would also incorporate the crowd and as much as the Iron Soul family as possible. I will be working on a shot list and story board that I will add to this page when complete to give you a better idea of what to expect, but I would love to get more details about the event so I know what kind of shots I should be getting and what to expect. Also shooting vertical video for IG is an option if you’re interested in that just be sure to let me know so I can plan for that.

Lighting Set-up

The key to great images is great light and I would like to ensure I can provide the best images by using my professional lighting equipment. I understand this usually would raise concerns especially in a crowded environment but after taking a look around the gym I have come up with a solution that would eliminate any trip hazard to the attendees, keep lighting equipment out of the line of sight of the crowd and lifters, and maximize the quality of images captured. With your approval I would like to truss (clamp) two lights overhead as seen in the below diagrams over the platform. I would take precautions to eliminate any fall hazards i.e. securing the equipment overhead with cables and locking carabiners. I would also like to setup 12-24hrs before hand to trouble shoot any unforeseen issues.
